Unbeatable for the price!

If you’re looking for a crisp, clear e-reader that is larger than a Kindle but not as large as an iPad or a ReMarkable, is also waterproof, and can be used to write on (with very good OCR), and is somehow more affordable than a Kindle, this is it. Shockingly good for the $100 price tag. The only negatives, from my point of view, is that when using the Kindle app (you can use that or several others), the area on the sides to tap to go to the next (or last) page is unusually narrow (I use the scroll function instead).

Love it

So far it’s good, I’m enjoying gonna need it and use it for nursing school! The only issues is I wish they had cuter covers for it or magnetic stylus

Great value with the right expectations…

I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced reader that supports Google Play for some time and after watching/reading many reviews on the Wave I decided to pull the trigger… I mean for $99 there is nothing that even comes close… I will say the device is not fast and this can certainly be a hindrance but when compared to other devices that lock you down to their ecosystem, this is an easy compromise. Overall, I’ve been very happy with this device and freedom it gives me! Thank you!

Good e-ink device, great price

I am very pleased with my purchase of the mobiscribe wave. At 7.8", it is just the right size to be a convenient e-reader, while also large enough to write on. I like the crispness of the screen while reading, and it works great in sunlight as well as indoors. I have not been brave enough to actually dunk it in the water, but am comforted that if it gets a little wet from the rain or something, it will probably be fine. Writing with the stylus feels good, the pen is responsive, and the handwriting to text converter works better than I expected with my handwriting. I like that the screen is set back slightly, creating a natural barrier for your pen at the edge of the page.

The number of characters the text converter can handle is rather limited. I write quite a bit, and tend to write small, so I was running into the limit, and had to jump through hoops to move half my writing to a 2nd page until I figured out how much it would support. Minor annoyance that I've pretty much adjusted to. I like that I can download my favorite reading apps, libby and kindle, so I don't need to reformat my books or buy them in a different format, but the apps do lag a little, especially when first loading or downloading a new book, and it is inconvenient to have to go to a separate tools page instead of having your books (or at least your reading app) on the main page.

All in all, I am really happy with the mobiscribe wave, which is a bargain for the price. There are some minor issues that would benefit from tweaking in future iterations of the device, but despite the minor annoyances, I feel like I am happier with this device than I would have been with some of the other, more expensive, options on the market.

Great Value

The Wave has been a pleasant surprise so far. I am continuing to put it through a proper field test but so far I am impressed
